How Much Does GTA 6 Cost?
GTA 6 costs $79.99 in the US, €79.99 in the eurozone and £69.99 in the UK for the Standard Edition. The Ultimate Edition is $99.99 and £89.99. Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026.

We have not listed a euro price for the Ultimate Edition because we have not been able to verify one. Check your own storefront rather than trusting a number someone worked out from the dollar price.
Why the prices do not line up
$79.99 and €79.99 look like the same price and are not. European storefronts quote VAT-inclusive prices and US storefronts do not, so the American figure grows at checkout and the European one does not.
The $79.99 itself is the part that caused the argument: it sits ten dollars above the $69.99 that mainstream console games settled on in 2020, and Rockstar published no explanation for the increase.
Pre-orders, and what is on the shelf
Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026 at midnight local time, across PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store, participating retailers. Anything booked before November 20, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack.
There will be no disc. Rockstar has said it has no plans to print GTA 6 discs at all, and the boxed copies that appear in shops on November 12, 2026 hold a download code, not a game. The box exists so console players can start pre-loading a week before November 19, 2026.
Neither edition includes an online mode. GTA 6 launches as a single-player game, and Rockstar has not dated a multiplayer component.

- How much does GTA 6 cost?
- The Standard Edition is $79.99 in the US, €79.99 in the eurozone and £69.99 in the UK. The Ultimate Edition is $99.99 and £89.99.
- Why is GTA 6 $80 when games used to be $70?
- Rockstar set the Standard Edition at $79.99, ten dollars above the $69.99 that became standard for major console releases in 2020. It is the highest launch price a mainstream console game has carried, and Rockstar has not published a rationale for it.
- Is €79.99 the same as $79.99?
- No. European prices include VAT and the US price does not, so the euro figure is closer to the dollar figure than it looks. What you pay at the till in the US is more than $79.99.
- What does the Ultimate Edition include?
- Rockstar describes it as a collection of premium vehicles, weapons and apparel threaded through the story, rather than a separate mode or extra campaign. It does not include GTA Online, because nothing does at launch.
- Is there a pre-order bonus?
- Yes. Pre-orders placed before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack.
- Is there a disc version of GTA 6?
- No. Rockstar has said it has no plans to print GTA 6 discs, at launch or later. Boxed copies sold in shops contain a download code and reach shelves on November 12, 2026 so players can pre-load.
- Does GTA 6 include GTA Online?
- No. GTA 6 launches as a single-player game, and no separate online component is included or dated.
